For my dodgeball tournament, I decided that I am going to ask businesses for donations to go towards the concession stands or the payout for the top 3 placing teams. The registration forms and waivers are now made and I have started handing out flyers and advertising. I have also started designing t-shirts which are going to be for the staff helping with the tournament and 1st & 2nd place teams. For the concession stands, Thrivent is going to donate and help. The idea of having Modern Woodsman match the funds is also a good idea.

I have met with my mentor and discussed details and ideas about my dodgeball tournament. I chose a date, March 7th, the first Saturday in March. I am now working on making posters and the advertising for this tournament. Also, I will start making registration forms and injury release forms. Designing T-shirts and getting them ordered soon is also important right now.
We have been working on the physical part and fieldwork of our projects since our papers are done. For my fieldwork I am organizing a dodgeball tournament and the proceeds are going to a paralyzed veterans' foundation in Sioux Falls. I have been meeting with my mentor and discussing things like rules for the tournament and possible dates. We are getting things figured out to make everything run smoothly.
I finished my paper and am starting to make corrections on it. I am also done with my outline and works cited pages as well. Writing an eight page paper isn't as hard as it seems. As long as you have an interesting topic and enough information, it can be pretty easy.
We have been writing our research papers for our senior projects. They have to be 8-10 pages in length. We have to use the notecards we took. In our papers we must also cite our sources to know where the information comes from. My paper topic is how veterans' lives change after they return home from the service.
We have been taking notes from our resources that we found earlier. The notes are soon going to be put to use when we start our rough draft of our research papers. We take the notes on note cards and have to have a new note card for every idea. In the end we are supposed to have 40-50 notecards. On the notecards we have to put the author's name, the page of the resource we found it on, and the heading of the section we plan to use it in our actual research papers.
We have are starting our research papers. They have to be 8-10 pages in length. We are finding sources, making notecards, and then taking notes. My topic is about how veterans' lives change when they return home after service.
Yesterday in class, we created our Weebly pages for us to document our Senior Projects throughout the year. My first idea for my Senior Project is organizing a dodgeball tournament and giving the proceeds to a local charity or foundation. With this idea, my research paper topic would be about the charity or organization I choose to donate to. I thought this would be a good idea because I love the game of dodgeball and I think it would be a fun event for the community to participate in. Another reason is that it gives me the opportunity to be generous and give, by donating money to people in need.
